How To Submit Your Article/Become a Contributor

Have some articles or stories you want heard by the martial arts community?

You've come to the right place - Our contributor process is super easy, just follow the instructions below

Please remember we have a international team that create this magazine so when you are submitting your story act is if you are describing it to someone that knows nothing about your article or martial arts (For example, Make sure everyone in your images are name from left to right)

Also, Please note we get lots of submissions for each magazine so if you story doesn't make it in, we will try and submit it for the next issue or if you dont provide sufficient quality of images it won't be accepted. Contact our team for more info!

The Steps

Step 1: Your Article

When submitting your articles please us lay it out quickly by doing the following:

- The story must be in text format and preferably in a word document

- Ensure any layout/page requirement is mentioned in the document

Step 2: Your Images

For your article you will need to add at-least 6 Images for our team to choose from.

- The images must be high quality (Preferably over 1Mb and 300DPI)

- Each image must be named using "-" to separate each word. If you have multiple people in an image, please name them in the image name from left to right

Step 3: Your Videos

When submitting your videos (if required) please send the URL of the video (from Youtube) you want to use and which part of your story/article it relates to. The more videos we have the more interesting and educational your article will be. You use the following subject content:
- You training /teaching
- You receiving awards / ranks

Step 4: Your Profile/Socials

When submitting your article please add your profile so that we can create and add you to our contributors page

- Please also add any social media/contact links you want to promote

We are happy to promote you business in exchange for fine articles!

Step 5: Use the form below to submit

Using the form below, submit all the previous steps content and we will process your article. Submit your images in the next step.

Step 6: Submitting Your Images

When you have chosen your images for the article, you will need to send them to us.

- We use a website called 'WeTransfer', its a safe and secure website that allows large files and images to be transferred to another person.

- Head to the link: https://wetransfer.com/

- Email: support@martialartsaustralia.com.au

- Add your name in the title and add the name of your article in the message space.

A Champion's Mindset

We will meet a lot of people during our lives and many will influence us in a positive way and some of them in the most profound way, if we are fortunate. I want to share a story with you about my good friend Glenn Coxon, as there are many lessons we can take from his journey. One is over coming stage 4 cancer. Most of us know someone who has or had cancer, for some of us, it’s a family member. We know some cancers aren’t too bad and we have a good chance of kicking it or living with it for a long time. Others can be savage and take someone in a matter of months. Glenn had a pretty savage one and he didn’t catch it until it was extremely advanced. Let me start with telling you a bit about what sort of person Glenn is and perhaps we can gain a better understand what he drew upon, to fight this cancer. Glenn has been involved in the martial arts and fight scene for more than 50 years and has obtained numerous black belts. He grew up reading about legends such as Chuck Norris, Benny ‘The Jet’ Urquidez, Bill ‘Super-foot’ Wallace and so many more. He couldn’t imagine as a kid that one day he would actually get to stand opposite these people toe-toe and share techniques, ideas, meals and even travel with many of them. Glenn is one of those people that’s sometimes difficult to please and many times difficult to impress. Perhaps that’s why he went out of my way to track down leaders in the Martial Arts, so they could help him become his best. As a result of his passion for martial arts he opened up a number of schools to share his knowledge and also became a promoter showcasing some of the biggest names in Kickboxing during that era.
